Terms of Service
1. Who we are
GEA IHRD LLC ("GEA", "we") is a limited liability company registered in the Republic of Korea, with its office in Busan. GEA has placed international students in Korean universities for five years, beginning as GEA Education Center, a lifelong-education institution, and operating as GEA IHRD LLC since February 2025. These terms govern the services described on this site and on each product page.
GEA IHRD LLC(지이에이국제인적자원개발 유한책임회사)는 대한민국 부산에 소재한 유한책임회사입니다. 본 약관은 본 사이트와 각 상품 페이지에 기재된 서비스에 적용됩니다.
2. What we provide
GEA provides advisory and administrative services to support an application to a university in Korea: university matching, document guidance and review, submission of the application to the university, drafting of a personal statement in Korean from content you supply, Korean interview training, and visa guidance. The scope, price, start point, and completion point of each service are stated on its product page and form part of these terms.
GEA does not decide admission and does not decide visas. Admission is decided solely by each university. Visa issuance is decided solely by the immigration authorities of the Republic of Korea. GEA makes no representation, promise, or guarantee about either.
GEA는 한국 대학 지원을 위한 자문·행정 서비스를 제공합니다. 합격은 대학이, 비자 발급은 출입국 당국이 단독으로 결정하며 GEA는 어느 것도 보장하지 않습니다.
3. Eligibility
The services are available to applicants in countries where GEA does not operate a local office or partner network. They are not available to nationals or residents of India, Sri Lanka, or Vietnam, who are served through GEA's channels in those countries. Eligibility is confirmed during the free assessment before any payment. GEA may decline and fully refund any order placed by an ineligible applicant. Applicants under 18 require the consent of a parent or guardian.
4. Ordering and payment
A payment link is issued to you after your free assessment. Prices are in US dollars. Payment is by card through our payment provider or by international bank transfer against an invoice. Fees charged by your bank, card issuer, or payment provider are not set by GEA. Costs payable to third parties — university application fees, visa fees, document certification and translation, DHL shipping of originals to Busan, tuition, dormitory, insurance — are not included in GEA's fees and are your responsibility.
The Complete package is paid in two parts: the first at purchase, the second only after you receive an offer of admission. If you are not admitted, the second payment is not charged.
5. When a service starts and when it is complete
Each service starts when you first send us the material it depends on — a questionnaire, a document, or attendance at a first session — as stated on its product page. Until then, nothing has started. Each service is complete at the point stated on its product page. In particular, document consulting and submission is complete when the university confirms receipt of your original documents or, if you are not admitted, when the university announces its decision; visa consulting is complete when your application is successfully submitted.
Timelines are counted from the date all required material has been received from you. University application periods are set by each university and may affect when submission is possible.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of every document and every answer you provide. You must obtain any certification, legalization, or translation a university requires; GEA advises on what is required but does not process certification. Original documents sent to GEA must be shipped by a tracked courier at your cost; GEA confirms receipt in writing and is responsible for them from receipt until delivery to the university. You must respond to GEA's requests within a reasonable time; delays on your side extend timelines accordingly.
7. Personal statement
The personal statement and study plan are drafted in Korean by GEA from content you supply in your own language. You review, may revise, and give final approval before any use. The approved statement is yours and you are responsible for its content. You may be asked by a university to discuss it; the Admit package includes training for this purpose.
8. Refunds
Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Limitation of liability
GEA's liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the amount you paid GEA for that service. GEA is not liable for decisions of universities or immigration authorities, for consequences of inaccurate or incomplete material you provide, for third-party fees, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Intellectual property
Reports, templates, and training materials are prepared for you individually and remain GEA's intellectual property. You may use them for your own application. You may not redistribute or resell them.
11. Personal information
GEA handles your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Submitting an application requires transferring your personal information to the university in Korea; you consent to this at purchase.
12. Governing law and language
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Busan, Republic of Korea. These terms are provided in English and Korean; where translations differ, the English version applies.
본 약관은 대한민국 법을 준거법으로 하며, 분쟁은 부산 소재 법원의 관할로 합니다. 영문판과 한국어판이 다를 경우 영문판이 우선합니다.
13. Changes
GEA may update these terms. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
